Anneannesinin Diktiği Yelken Sayesinde Olimpiyatlarda Başhakem Oldu
2024 Olimpiyatları’nda yelken kategorisinde başhakem olarak atanan Pınar Coşkuner Genç, bu göreve atanan ilk kadın ve ilk Türk hakem olarak tarihe geçti. Pınar Coşkuner Genç’in yelken sporuna başlaması ise ilgi çekici bir hayat hikayesine sahip. Coşkuner’in anneannesinin diktiği yelken ve babasının tasarladığı ahşap tekne ile yelken sporuna başlayan Pınar Coşkuner Genç, tarihe geçerek Olimpiyatlar’da görev alacak ilk kadın ve Türk hakem olacak.
Dünya Yelken Federasyonu tarafından 2024 Paris Olimpiyat Oyunları’na atanan Türk hakem, yelken branşında ülkemizi temsil etme gururunu yaşayacak. Aynı zamanda Avrupa Yelken Federasyonu asbaşkanlığını yürüten isim, Gelişim Komitesi Başkanlığı ve uluslararası hakemlik de yapmaktadır.
Yelkeni Düşerek Öğrendim
Ailesi sayesinde yelkene başlayan Pınar Coşkuner Genç, yelkeni Kurbağalıdere’de düşerek öğrendiğini söyledi. Doğma büyüme Kalamışlı olan milli hakem, anneannesinin dikiş makinesinde diktiği yelken ve babasının tasarladığı ahşap tekne ile yelkene başladığını anlattı. Sınıf arkadaşı sayesinde İstanbul Yelken Kulübü’ne giden Coşkuner, daha sonra milli takım düzeyinde de yarışlara katıldı. Olimpiyatlar’da görev yapacak ilk Türk hakem olan Pınar Coşkuner Genç, Dünya ve Avrupa Şampiyonaları’nda, Akdeniz ve Balkan Oyunları’nda da yarışmıştı. Kariyerinde ise aynı zamanda Balkan Şampiyonası birinciliği yer alıyor.
İş hayatına girdikten sonra yarışlara yeteri kadar yer ayıramadığını söyleyen milli hakem, daha çok yat yarışlarında yer aldığını ifade etti. Yat yarışlarında hala yarıştığını ifade eden Pınar Coşkuner Genç, hamilelik döneminde ise hakemliği düşündüğünü söyledi. Betcool giriş daha önceden elinde bir hakemlik belgesinin olduğunu belirten milli hakem, hamilelik döneminden sonra hakemliğe yoğunlaştı.
Amacı Türk Kadın Hakemlere Örnek Olmak
Pınar Coşkuner Genç sadece Türk olarak değil, dünyada ilk kadın yelken başhakemi olarak görev yapacak. Bu görevin kendisi için büyük bir onur olduğunu söyleyen milli hakem, amacının Türk kadın hakemlerine örnek olmak olduğunu da söyledi. Dünya Yelken Federasyonu’nun asbaşkanlık görevini yaptığını belirten Pınar Coşkuner Genç, kadınların sayı olarak az olduğunu ancak herhangi bir eksikliklerinin bulunmadığını da ekledi.
